News - Performance at MK Dons
Friday 21st August 2009, Almas Latinas receive a call as the Dons Stadium require half time entertainment for their Match between MK Dons and Colchester, the next day.
It was a fun afternoon as we got there to rehearse and discovered that we had to be creative with where we performed resorting to a special piece of carpet on a patch of sloping tarmac.
Even more nerve racking was when we found out that there would be approximately 9000 people attending the match. Neither of us being football fans by any stretch of the imagination, we got into the spirit of things and saw the footballers jogging out of the locker rooms onto the pitch and even caught a glimpse of Paul Ince within 5 metres of us.
Half time came, and we went out to do our bit, with a camera in front of us so that we could be seen on the big screen. It was an interesting experience infront of a final count of 8,633 people. The evening was completed by sitting back and enjoying our first ever stadium experience of a live football match...
