News - Rueda on Ice
Sunday 6th December 2009, Francis and Nagore decided to push the fun experienced regularly on the dance floor in Rueda circles one step further.
As some of you may know, Nagore is one of the biggest fans of RUEDA and loves every single minute of it whenever the chance to do it arises. It's a great way of having lots of fun, entertaining and getting everybody involved.
So... take one group of willing rueda-exposed participants (a mix of students at our salsa classes and lessons, friends and work colleagues), add some inline skates, and bring them together in the middle of an ice-rink somewhere in Milton Keynes and what do you get? That's right... RUEDA ON ICE.
We just want to say a big THANK YOU to all who attended the first ever Rueda on Ice with us in Milton Keynes on Sunday.

It's fair to say that it was an interesting few hours, and although there were varying levels of ice skating ability, everyone seemed to have a good time.
First there was practice time, as everyone found their 'ice' feet... some quicker than others obviously :-)
Then there was rueda ... and although it was generally slow and shaky... it actually seemed to work once we got into a rhythm.
Finally, there were crazy antics of cartwheels, limbo, spinning attempts, and skating through people's legs.
It all ended with one last rueda in the wings - off the ice (still on ice skates though) while they resurfaced the ice.
All in all, a great afternoon, so thanks again to everyone who helped make a special day of it, and stay tuned for the next crazy installment.
